I don’t remember all the details, this was the project for the course Design of Machine Elements, and is the CAD representation of an analytical pen and paper design. the main constraints were the weight and size were to allow it to be carried by one person, and the force input was to be easily preformed by an average human arm. all of the critical parts were designed within factors of safety, those include the welds, the bearing, the bolts, the power screw and the cantilever supports. the gear design was superficial however.
