This model of a man's (?) head with female features is a recurring theme in St. Barbara's Cathedral in Kutná Hora, Czech Republic. Most often it is found at the bottom of exterior consoles. The head with a fixes gaze is slightly reminiscent of the Late Gothic heads from the barallel ledge of the nave. Whether the head had a deeper sense as a part of the modern exterior decoration remains a question. The model of the head originated when the choir and transept buttresses were replaced during the workshop lead by Josef Mocker.
