Poster Holder (Laser Cut)

Poster Holder (Laser Cut)

In my Digital Art class I would print out my artwork and need a way to take it home. I have used poster tubes in the past but they are not as durable. Designing this made it much easier to transport them and I did not have to worry about any of them getting damaged. This poster holder will hold the average size posters from 8.5 x 11 inches to 17 x 22 inches. Hope you can find this design useful in your art application. (I included a picture of one of my favorite prints). When gluing the poster holder make sure that you secure it on all sides with clamps because the material may be bent slightly, possibly causing the box joints not to mate. I used a 1/4 inch x 5 inch bolt since that is what I had available but a metric bolt with a length between 110mm-120mm will work better. Don't forget that you would need an M4 nut to go with that. Designed in Autodesk Fusion 360. If you can tell from the pictures, the bolt slides though the slot in the handle to hold it very securely. Make sure that 5mm wood is used when laser cutting.
