PostModern Deconstructed Snowflake A stunning snowflake, expertly dissected! The flake is actually three-dimensional, not just a flat outline, and has been saved in three sizes, broken down into sub-flakes to scatter around your tree. The design is divided into six sectors, which can be edited in or out with the scad file. The mid-sized flake makes a great item to insert inside a card for someone special. This snowflake is designed to print with 0.25mm layers and a 0.5mm extrusion width (0.4mm nozzle), ensuring that the scad file can be edited to match other setups and avoid slicer gaps. The layer count remains even between different heights, thanks to careful design. Sharp corners and narrow angle holes have been avoided, and the thickness steps are 1.5, 2.5, and 3 mm, providing plenty of layers for strength. Enjoy! P.S. Okay, I know my white is a bit streaked with my bowden setup, but it's just the right color! I'll clean them up, and those with better printers will get even cleaner results. Print Settings Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: Modified MaxMicron Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.25mm layers Infill: N/A Notes: Use a 0.5mm extrusion width for best results (0.4mm nozzle), and adjust the scad file for other resolutions to make the flake arm widths an even multiple of the extrusion width.
