Potato Cannon Rounds

Potato Cannon Rounds

These are some different rounds that i've designed to shoot out a potato cannon, using standard 2 and 3 inch PVC pipes. Some of the rounds work very well, some did not. I've learned that mass makes a big difference. The lighter items seem to just get blown around. Most everything i printed with PLA. A few items I made with Ninjatek, such as the sealing gaskets, and then the nose cone pieces. I tried to make them as easy to print, and no needing to use support. The rounds themselves do not seal against the barrel. They all need to have a gasket put down first. I have included those, one for each size of barrel. Those I make out of ninjatek. I have included links to the Fusion designs of them. Feel free to play around, make changes as needed, or ask any questions. https://a360.co/2o9fJ5t - 3 inch round https://a360.co/30eAdqZ - 3 inch round, but pointed https://a360.co/2o6rs4M - 3 inch round with a removable TPE nose cone - nose cone needs supports to print https://a360.co/2nkjJA3 - 2 inch round. Included a sabot design to adapt it to shoot from a 3 inch barrel as well. There are gaskets for both 3 inch and 2 inch. I also split this round into 2 halves, so you could insert a 2 inch piece of 5/8 steel rod for added mass and then glue the halves together https://a360.co/2Z3ZIPW - 2 inch round. This one i designed to disperse ash/flour. The round itself is slotted and has a removable nose piece. I also designed a sleeve that fits into the slots to prevent the ash/flour from falling out before you can load it into the barrel. When in the barrel, the sleeve pulls out, and the barrel seals it.
