Increasingly these days more and more things come to you in pouches; petfood, human food, hair colouring, cooking sauces, the list goes on and on. Although they may be excellent for 'the environment' the one problem they still share with traditional cans and bottles is that there will always be a little bit left in the pouch and in these days when we're encouraged to save as much as we can that little bit of waste can mount up. Therefore I designed this, the Pouch Squeezer. It acts roughly like a pair of hair straighteners; you squeeze a little out of the pouch by hand then close the jaws of the squeezer around it, hold onto the bottom of the pouch and slowly drag the squeezer upwards. This will force the contents of the pouch out and into whatever you're emptying it into, wringing absolutely as much as possible out of the pouch and eliminating that small bit of waste. It has been tested and works brilliantly on toothpaste tubes, food pouches, hair-product pouches and even paint and oil tubes (although it's not really suitable for aggressive solvents such as acetone, as it will tend to dissolve...) I actually designed it to be used with catfood pouches; my moggies love catfood in gravy but the last thing I could handle first thing in the morning was cold gravy all over my fingers when I was feeding them. Therefore I took the designer route and thus the Pouch Squeezer was born! The open back of the jaws traps any splashing from the catfood which means no gravy'd fingers and it can be easily washed up after use. The jaws of the Squeezer are 100mm wide, so they obviously can be used with any pouch up to that width. But if your pouch is wider just squeeze one half and then the other; your fingers will stay clean! The Pouch Squeezer is available, printed and assembled, in my Etsy store - www.etsy.com/uk/shop/enterprisexddesign
