Powder check Die

I created this powder check die to try and get affordable accurate indication of powder over under charge that could be connected to my existing arduino. this simply uses a 3d printer endstop. (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07MFT8NWJ) So far despite my lack of CAD, Engineering, and Printing skills it's proven very reliable and very accurate when properly adjusted although the outer main body is fairly loose. I used a brass cleaning rod as the powder check through rod in his setup. Using a lighter material would probably be better. 1. Put an empty case in the powder check station 2. Run shell plate up to the top 3. Assemble the outer main body, Optical sensor holder, and inner thread activation tube. 4. Thread the above assembly into the toolhead until the optical sensor holder lifts off the outer main body 3/8 of an inch or more. More is ok but use caution if you think you need less. 5. Preassemble the your desired caliber powder check plug on your powder check rod. I couldn't get such small threads to model well so it takes effort to create them and care must be taken so that it is perpendicular to the rod. 6. remove powder check plug and assemble powder check flag and rod and insert into Inner threaded Case activation tube and tighten set screw just enough to keep the powder check rod from falling out when shell plate is lowered 7. Lower shell plate and install powder check plug. 8. Fill a case with desired powder charge, insert into powder check station and raise shell plate to top. Powder check flag should be way too high. 9. Lower powder check flag to that the flag is in the middle of the optical sensor. Powder will likely settle and you may need to repeat this process with another fresh powder charge. 10. run a full case and empty case through the station to verify proper operation.
