Sometimes your power cable outer sheath comes away or is damaged. This covers the damaged part and clamps the sheath on either side so that it can be used safely. (At least the way I used it is safe) **Do not use this if there is exposed copper wire - this is designed to prevent that from happening. If you have exposed copper, then your cable is already extremely dangerous and should be thrown away.** Put the damaged sheath in the inner piece. Slide the outer piece into place. It must be a tight fit. Disclaimer/Warning: ================ Use of this requires electrical knowledge and DIY common sense. Obviously unplug your cable before attempting repair. This cannot be used if you don't have at least a cm of sheath on each side of the damaged part. If the damaged part is bigger than 1cm, obviously don't use. If your power cable has exposed copper then it is already dangerous and this won't help. -Replace your cable. I take no responsibility if you use this and create an unsafe situation. This is designed for a circular power cable with 6mm diameter. They all differ in size and shape so you need to make sure this fits properly - it is not meant to slide around like a bead. You are responsible for ensuring it does not slip off. Don't use this if you cannot use it safely.
