Power Wheels Jeep Wrangler Trailer Hitch

Power Wheels Jeep Wrangler Trailer Hitch

My boys got a Power Wheels Jeep last year for a combined Birthday gift. They love it. They were tying ropes to it so they could pull their wagon and carry things. I had been looking to see if someone had already made a hitch for it, but not that I could find. So I fired up SolidWorks and designed my own. It actually works better than I thought. I designed it to tie into the main rear axel frame as well as the back "bumper". Plenty strong as the kids have stood on the tong. Since they just wanted to pull their wagon I made a hook, but it is a full receiver style hitch, so you can make whatever attachments you want. Size your hitch for 0.95in and it should slide right in. They at held together with a simple 1/4in pin. If you are worried about things breaking, print it with a higher infill or solid. Two Different Hooks. We have broken the hook, but that was due to them backing up and jack-knifing the trailer in such a way that the wide wagon handle twisted the hook sideways. Print the Hitch with the large flat face down (up when installed on jeep) Print the Hook on its side. ** Update: I added a new hook3 that prevents the jack-knife breaking of the original hook.
