The rear door on some of my Powerbook 500's were missing so I figure I try to model a replacement. It's not an exact duplicate of the original but works pretty well on my Powerbooks. There are four versions of the rear door: - Powerbook 500 Series Rear Door.stl - "Normal" width arms that latch into the Powerbook. - No "guard" around the arms to prevent fingers from accidentally snapping off the arms. - Powerbook 500 Series Rear Door (with guard).stl - "Normal" width arms that latch into the Powerbook. - Has "guard" around the arms to prevent fingers from accidentally snapping off the arms. - Powerbook 500 Series Rear Door (thicker arms).stl - Thicker width arms that latch into the Powerbook. These arms are stronger but take more force to open close the door. - No "guard" around the arms to prevent fingers from accidentally snapping off the arms. - Powerbook 500 Series Rear Door (thicker arms with guard).stl - Thicker width arms that latch into the Powerbook. These arms are stronger but take more force to open close the door. - Has "guard" around the arms to prevent fingers from accidentally snapping off the arms. I printed the door vertically with the hinge side on the build plate and used a brim to make help with bed plate adhesion. I have included a picture of the orientation.
