I'm working on a rapid 5-10 minute practice project to fine-tune my workflow techniques. My objective is to create a simple (cube+cylinder) axe weapon, then animate its swing using a referenced rig file in a separate Maya file, safeguarding the original rig from any potential mishaps. The goal is to swiftly generate a more polished-looking weapon using 3DCoat and update the previous mesh with the new one inside the Rig file, preserving all animation work while applying it to the fresh mesh. This model features high poly detail and was rapidly textured and exported solely for testing purposes.
