Practice Mute for Trumpets

Practice Mute for Trumpets

This is a practice mute for trumpets I designed on Fusion 360 for my father and he seems to be very pleased with it. (Forgive me, I don't know much about trumpets myself) I printed this with both PLA+ and PETG. Be sure to turn supports on. There will naturally be supports on the inside of the bell to support the mouth. An efficient way I found to remove it is to take a thin screwdriver and make an opening on the top of the support near the mouth, then use piers with rubber wrapped around to get in-between the model and the support to start twisting the support and peel it off and extract it. (If you use 20% infill at least, you shouldn't experience any damage to the print) You can finish the print by sanding with rough grit sandpaper, wipe off the dust, apply some plastic rated spray paint (x2), and glue on some felt fabric to the mouth and the flat area under the bell.
