Preamp Tube Caddy

Preamp Tube Caddy

I wanted a rugged box to store preamp tubes in for my guitar amps, so I remixed a box from asdf97. I'm using it with JJ 12AX7's but it should work with most noval dual triodes like 12AU7's or12AT7's. Height will be the biggest issue. The slots are sized off of the cardboard box they come in. I originally tried to scale asdf97's model to work but due to the print in place nature of the model, the scaling didn't work out for me. You will need to print 6 of the fillers to keep the tubes from moving around. I have uploaded the box with and without the JJ logo. I might upload some other logos and writing as well. The red is just red Sharpie to make it pop. I had issues with the print at the latch, probably due to the filament and my bed temps. Its not the tightest latch but it should work fine for what I need. I printed one at 20 infill and the one pictured is a 10. I would definitely recommend higher than 10 because you might have caught in the picture that part of the hinge broken already. The box at 10 infill took about 13hrs to print on my Ender 3. Some print suggestions fromasdf97: -Print with the long edge in the direction of bed movement to reduce the chance of the tall, skinny lid coming free or moving. -Avoid drafts that might cause layer shifts or try a draft shield in the slicer
