I am sharing my new project PRECISION DIAL INDICATOR on wich I worked over 3 months. You can use it to bed leveling in your printer, measure runout, use on CNC machines etc. or ... have an interesting gadget :). For a long time i was looking for how to minimalize backlash. I was able to achieve 0.02 value of about. Please see presentation: https://youtu.be/lYJvTrOclSM In my opinion this tool is very easy to assembly, but requires a good printer calibration. I tested PRECISION DIAL INDICATOR on my Ender 3 PRO but also ordered testing on other 5 different printers and 5 different users. It may be required to reprint some parts with another settings in the slicer. If the mechanism is not moving smoothly I think the best way to fix it is reduce external wall (for example by less flowrate or by using scaling). Specyfication: - unit mm, - resolution 0.01 mm, - range 14 mm. See how to assembly and tips: https://youtu.be/TBdvbFO8FYg To assembly DIAL INDICATOR you must have: - 2 screws M3x25 (or longer), - 1 screw M3x16 (or longer), - 3 nuts M3. To assmebly HANDLE to dial indicator you must have: - 1-3 srews M5x16 (or longer), - 1-3 nuts M5 (wing nuts are the best).
