This is a prehistoric awl from the Escoural Cave, situated in Montemor-o-Novo’s region in Portugal. This bone tool was probably used to pierce skin pieces. It was found in a neolithic necropolis archaeological context. This piece is part of the collection of the Museum of São Domingos, in Montemor-o-Novo.
