I like to use non-wireless headset as it is lighter, with a bit better sound quality and esp. you do not need to take care about charging it. But I hate its wire laying usually exactly on the same place where my mouse needs to go in the middle of the CS-GO fight. Thus I have decided to upgrade my original design of the USB extender Desk Mount (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5672976) with 3.5mm jack AUX port, so the headset wire is "out of the game". My headset has one 3.5mm 4-pin jack, so I use this setup: - 1x USB PremiumCord USB 3.0 Super-speed 5Gbps A-A (https://www.alza.cz/premiumcord-prodluzovaci-kabel-usb-3-0-super-speed-5gbps-a-a-mf-9pin-2m-bila-d6696333.htm) - 2 pieces of 3-pin Extension cables from VENTION (https://www.alza.cz/vention-cotton-braided-3-5mm-jack-audio-extension-cable-1-5m-black-metal-type-d5827580.htm) - 1x Vention 2x 3.5mm Male to 3.5mm Female Audio Cable 0.3m Black ABS Type (https://www.alza.cz/vention-2x-3-5mm-male-to-3-5mm-female-audio-cable-0-3m-black-abs-type-d5827587.htm) Originally I was thinking about using only one 4-pin VENTION extension cable (https://www.alza.cz/vention-cotton-braided-3-5mm-audio-extension-cable-1-5m-black-metal-type-d6681065.htm), but I have seen several user reviews stating there is some problem with MIC sound quality (probably because of interference with the speaker cables), so I have decided to use 2 separate cables - one for mic and one for speakers. ...and join these 2 cables into one at the very end to minimize the possibility of the interference. We have tested today and it works just great without any impact on the MIC sound quality. I have prepared desk mount to fix the 2 AUX extension cables to the table (design called "2x VENTION AUX desk mount"). For those of you, who have headset with separate mic and speakers jacks I am adding also another desk mount with 1x USB and 2x AUX (design called "USB3 desk mount and 2x VENTION AUX"). Special thanks to ToddTheTrainnut, who has remixed my original USB-only design. His update makes definitely sense and I have incorporated his idea into these my new designs.
