Prime Focus adapters for 1.25" eyepiece and Micro Four Thirds camera to Meade reflecting telescopes

2021-04-20 Added the "short" version of the eyepiece holder. This version allows the camera to get closer to the telescope in case you can't reach infinity focus with the taller version. A set of two adapters for Meade reflecting telescopes such as DS-114AT and related models. The standard eyepieces that come with low-end Meade telescopes are 0.965” diameter. Higher quality eyepieces are available but the tube diameter is 1 1/4” which will not fit in the standard Meade focuser tube. 1 - Adapter 1 replaces the Meade eyepiece holder to let you connect 1 1/4” eyepieces to the (approximately) 2 3/8” focuser tube. Print 1A Focuser Attachment with the flange down, threads up. Print 1B Eyepiece Holder *or* 1B Eyepiece Holder Short with the screw holes down low, “ledges” up. Glue the ledges of 1B to the flange of 1A. 2 - Adapter 2 lets you connect a Micro Four Thirds camera (such as Olympus OM-D series) to Adapter 1. To use a different type of camera you would only need to substitute part 2B. Print 2A Eyepiece Tube with the flange down, tube up. Print 2B M43 Attachment with the large plate down, tabs up. Glue the flange of 2A to the ledge of 2B. Each part is printed in two parts, to avoid overhangs. No support is needed. Because of the small tolerances in the M43 connector and the threads, I printed these with a 0.15mm nozzle. Probably only part 2A could print with the 0.4mm nozzle that comes with most printers. I printed 2B M43 Adapter at 0.14mm layer height. All others were 0.1mm layer height. All were 15% infill. The original parametric Fusion 360 design file is included in case you need to make changes.
