I present to the fine folks of Thingiverse a solution to a problem that has plagued large handed individuals since the dawn of time. Pringle tube to small for man hand, no fit. A simple twist of the patent pending self rising Pringles dispenser will reward you with a delicious bounty of potato snacks.

It should print without supports. The tolerances are tight but work with minor fitting. I had to deburr the parts and clean off any dots or over extrusions.

Assembly is straight forward with one exception. The sled that threads into the outside threaded tube threads much easier in one direction. Test the fit first before snapping the sled on to the inside tube. It snaps over the tabs easy but getting it off is difficult.

Pay careful attention to the magnet orientation. You need to make sure the same polarity is matched all the way around the sled and the plug. The magnets in the plug and slug should attract each other thus coupling the parts together magnetically. Super glue is how i hold mine in. You may need to clean up the magnet holes using a hobby knife if the magnets do not nest in your print. Mine were fine.

I recommend some dry lube on the threads and the channel where the inner tube snaps into the outer tube. I used graphite.

There is a slot on the base for you to use a utility knife or sharpened butter knife to cut the end of the Pringle tube off. Simple insert the metal end of the can into the bottom and use a knife to cute around the can.

You will need 16 12x2mm magnets, the stronger the better.

Video of it in action with a mostly full soda can, for some reason the chips didnt make it though the design process.

<oembed url="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V8kIHMQEa6A"></oembed>

I should add this fits the north American size cans.

Print Settings

Printer Brand:

Prusa

Printer:

I3 MK3S

Rafts:

No

Supports:

No

Resolution:

0.4

Infill:

15

Filament: PolyMaker PLA

Category: Other
