When attempting to attach wheels to the Sachtler 0371A Tripod System, I discovered that I needed to remove the spreader. That left me with a poor attachment between the tripod and the wheels. These feet that I designed helped to solve that problem or any other situation when the spreader needs to be removed. I used a cut nail, glued in at the head, as the hinge.
