Printed Conductor Transmission Line Test Part

Printed Conductor Transmission Line Test Part

thingiverse

Simple transmission line test sample for determining sheet resistance and resistivity of printed conductive patterns. I'm printing it with a dual extrusion hotend, but it would be easy enough to print on a single-extrusion hotend with some gcode tweaks. I'm using protopasta's conductive filament, and with .15 mm layer height I get a sheet resistance of around 800 Ω/sq, and a resistivity of ~12 Ω*cm which is actually a bit better than the 30 Ω*cm they spec it at for x/y resistivity. Pads are separated by 1 cm, trace width is 0.4mm but in reality will depend on your nozzle/extrusion settings (but set line width to .4mm in slicing software to make sure it comes out as a single line). It's also meant to be sliced with a 0.15 mm layer height. Would be interesting to see how parameters such as nozzle temp and extrusion speed effect the resistivity, if anyone wants to give it a shot.
