Printer Enclosure

Printer Enclosure

This is an idea i had for a cheap 3D printer enclosure an absolute necessity for printing ABS and prevent curling of PLA in winter. A 2 tier greenhouse. The top is not designed to be a shelf but as the side fittings are the same, can be used as a storage for filament reels (as long as the temperature does not exceed 50°c). I also cut the second shelf to hold the feeder filament. The only constraint seems to be the depth at a standard 49cm. A mini thermometer on the inside would be a good idea as the heatbreak still needs to be cooled. I've included an .stl for support legs in case the table is a wee bit too narrow, or if the enclosure is likely to slide on the table. There's an .stl for a 12v 120mm fan duct and mounting for 12v DM-W3001 to allow for temperature control with .stl to allow better grip to the frame (using supports).
