At last got around to putting the hood together... This is a hood which enables the user to open the front hatch to do whatever needs doing (be it pushing filament through after a jam or adjusting part of a print in the rear, etc.) I designed the hinges to use the rear corners as guides to assist in lining them up in unison (which tends to be a pain when there is no guides). I didn't use all the holes since they are not all needed to get a good solid build. The holes (distance from edge) are set for 1/8" lexan panels. The hinges are held together using a piece of 1.75mm filament through their centers. Holding a flame at a distance lets you soften the tips and flatten them with an object (I used a ruler) which provides you with a "pop rivet". Once again I provided the skp and stl of the hood setup for dimension measurements... I've updated my rail guide platform project to include the support clips (as seen in the rear next to K9). K9 watches over my prints :) Instructions ReplicatorG Skienforge (50) Slicing Profile: Replicator 2 Slicing Defaults (Infill_PerimeterOverlap(ratio): 0.3)
