Printrbot cable chain X-motor mount with connector.

A cable chain mount which includes mounting for a DB25 connector. I have included some versions which I can't use because I have external bracing on the bot. I will be using version C. This mates withhttp://www.thingiverse.com/thing:40918 orhttp://www.thingiverse.com/thing:11978 The chain sticks out on the left side of the bot and the connector is on the front. Mine will have the mating plug/socket with the cable pointing up. Instructions I printied in .2mm layer PLA. The "post" is for printing support and can be broken out. It take a solder cup type DB25 not a IDC type. There are two sections on version C which can be broken out to allow the part to be replaced without unsoldering. The the connect mounting is intended to be with M3 screws and there are recesses for the nuts. You can probably just tap the holes to M3 and omit the nuts. I zip-tie and screw the part to the motor mount. I wouldn't glue it in case it needs to be replaced. Consider the current ratings of your wires and connectors. I use ribbon cable but use 6 conductors and contacts for the heater instead of 2. Also try to keep the temperture sensor wires away from electriaclly noisy wires. I use a pair at one end of the cable and use the next pair for the micro-switch signal so there is some seperation from the motor and heater wires. Running a seperate shielded or twisted pair for the temp sensor is not unreasonable but doesn't seem necessary. Current I use 20 wires/contacts so there are spares for running a E-motor fan, ligthts or some other futures mods.
