Printrbot Dial Gauge Mount

Printrbot Dial Gauge Mount

thingiverse

Developed from the design of thing 17965 by dmeehl, this mount was adjusted for a Printrbot+ LC due to it being slightly too short, designed for another printer. The initial version had stability issues but may work better with ABS. Version 2 is simpler and more stable, currently in use on a Printrbot+ LC. Although created for the mentioned printer, it should work on most Printrbots with similar extruder designs. Print settings in Slic3r worked well, using 2 shells. PLA or ABS can be used. Attach mount to extruder by replacing right front screw and securing with a tab at the top for stability. Gauge installs using nut and washers. Standard M3 hardware (5mm holes) work fine. The design requires gauge removal before printing, but sanding top corner may allow swinging gauge up out of the way. Future revisions could address this issue.
