Printrbot LC+ Heated Bed Clips Side & Front

Before I got my glass plate I noticed the bed on my LC+ wasn't staying flat as it heated up so I made these clips to help flatten it by clamping the edges. It took four Side Clips and one Front Clip. Instructions If your calibration is correct these should just slide over the birch deck and meet the heated bed flush at the edge. Start by sliding the clips up to the edge -not flush- but rotated slightly to start one corner of a clip while simultaneously giving it a slight whack with the back of a screwdriver; it should climb onto the bed, then you can push the rest of the clip flush & position. The spines of the Side Clips are designed shallow to just clear the Z-Rod assemblies on either side of the moving bed. The Front Clip is deeper & wider (so you only need one) and has a thicker spine to compensate for the longer reach so it won't work on the sides. Edit 8/18/2012: The original clips were a bit tight so I made improved set (v2) and shaved 5% off the upper bite. I recommend trying these first. Place the forward side clips 65mm (2.5") back from the front edge of the table. Press the Y HOME button and adjust clips slightly so their back edge just misses the Z-Rod assemblies. Likewise bring the table forward & place the rear side clips equidistant from the back edge of the hot bed ~41.5mm (1 5/8"). Front Clip v2 has also been shaved 5% & corrected by Netfab so there are no non-manifold issues using Slic3r. I used a 75% infill so they won't crack. If you print a fat first layer, don't forget to trim the leftover flashing from that layer before trying to mount the clips, else they'll fight you on one side.
