Having completed my first Printrbot Plus, I extended its x-axis for an extra inch of print space, reaching a 225x225mm area. The extension was crafted from 1/4-inch hardboard using a 1/16-inch drill bit (measuring at 0.058 inches). You can either utilize your current x rods with shims, as described in the related part's instructions, or opt for 5/16-inch zinc-plated rods from a hardware store if you prefer added stability - they are both affordable and easily accessible.
