This part lets you keep most of the original wood pieces and use the full width of original bed, plus a little extra travel. This part fits with the stock 10 inch steel rods originally from the 1405's z-axis. I upgraded the z-axis with longer rods and put the 10 inch ones into x axis. You must be able to print an approximately 5x3.5 inch area to make this. You'll need some shorter screws (about a centimeter or less) to assemble without them poking up through the bed. Print Settings Printer Brand: Prusa Printer: Prusa Steel Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: .3mm Infill: 15% cubic Notes: I printed it face down (as stl's are oriented by default) in order to get as smooth as possible finish on the top. 3 top layers, 3 bottom layers, 3 perimeters.
