This thing adds support to the GT2 belt bearings by mounting on top of the bearings via the NEMA17 holes and fitting tightly around the screw heads that hold the bearings in. This way the screws are supported on both ends. I made this after I had my X bearings collapse under the pressure of the GT2 belt tension and cause the belt to slip off. This thing was designed based on the Y carriage and y ends here: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:372467/#files I am not sure if you need the above upgrade. It all depends on whether the support plate fits under the stock y carriage plywood, I didn't try (if you do post and let everyone know). This should work with the X axis as well, but I didn't try on that either because I had already hand fabricated a similar device since my printer was not operable.
