This Fan Mount is designed for the 2014 Simple's Aluminum Extruder. It will require a 12v-dc 40mm Fan as well. It also fits the 2013 with aluminum Direct Drive extruder upgrade w/plate. The 2013 Model Has the zip-tie almost in the center of the mount. The 2014 Has the zip-tie closer to the rear of the extruder mounting plate. It is designed to fit precisely on the 5.8mm Wood Extruder mount. It requires a little force to apply it since it is a compression fit. I would suggest removing your extruder mount in order to install it. Another hint, install the zip tie loosely, before installing the fan mount. It is extremely small area and you may have trouble trying to connect a zip-tie after it is installed. Be sure to let it cool completely so it is not expanded /warm before installing. I printed it using 0.25 layer height and only using 2 perimeters. As with all custom parts, you may need to modify the part or print to make it fit your machine.
