Printrbot Simple Metal 1403 Extended Legs

I had just completed the Matrix Precision X,Y, and Z upgrade for my Printrbot Simple Metal and the provided extended legs to stabilize the longer Z travel was not printing correctly for me. It was not the model, it was just the way Cura was slicing it perhaps because the notches did not match what was in the model (although all other measurements did). Here is the link to Matrix Precision's model: http://www.matrix-precision.com/pages/downloads As such, I decided to make my own based on Matrix Precision's design but made a couple changes including making it slightly shorter and adding 0.5mm cant at the base of the feet to compensate for bending in the legs. As an aside, no matter how great of a design, I always found any legs or feet to be ineffective when your printer is on a glass table. It still jitterbugs all over the place. So I always put sugru on the base of the feet which you can see in the pics. Now the thing will not budge no matter what. I printed this fine at 0.2mm, 20% infill (this is risky - I would go higher), 70mm/s using plain-ol-black-1.75-pla. Hope you find it helpful!! think it. print it. post it. http://www.printrbotforum.com/ Instructions 0.2mm 20% infill 70mm/s plain-ol-black-1.75-pla.
