After upgrading my Printrbot simple metal with most of the official upgrades – Z Axis, X axis and Ubis 13s hot end, I decided to add another hot end. Before you decide to take this step, you must understand that printing with the Printrbot simple metal with dual extruder is not an easy task. The calibration process takes time and you must be patient. Download the pdf and you can follow my steps. Please let me know if this was helpful. You might need to reflash the firmware to support the second extruder board. I have added two fan house models, use the one that best fit your upgrade.
