I've had issues with my cables getting in the way especially when moving between short and tall prints. Once, the fan and the probe both tore out and caused me a few hours of frustration!  This is my attempt to help guide the wires in an upward direction and keep the wires away from the extruder. Was designed using CAD files of the Printrbot Simple Metal so it perfectly snaps into place and lodges itself around the hole for the wiring, the bolt on the housing and the Z shaft for support. Has a openning so the wires can fit in without taking apart your printer and has a support brace against the Z shaft to keep it from moving while printing.
