I have NO IDEA why no one has made a printable XY upgrade set yet, so I decided to get the ball rolling. The following pieces (and parts list) should give you just under 12x12 inches of printable space, depending on how/where I decide to mount the bed to these. You can use a smaller/bigger bed, but the belt and rod sizes will vary. You're going to have to play around with M211 to set the XY size. The default FW has this locked out, so here's some firmware for you. Parts you'll need: X rods: http://www.mcmaster.com/#6112k45 Y rods: http://www.mcmaster.com/#6112K46 Plate: http://www.mcmaster.com/#86825k11 Some GT2 belt. Maybe this? http://www.adafruit.com/products/1184 You may want: Some high-temp felt to place the bed on the printed parts, like this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/361254493104?lpid=82&chn=ps You'll also want to print out some stability feet. There are multiple here, and BIG ones on matrix-precision.com. Todo: Design Y axis mounting bracket. (Or just remix Mach-Chris's: http://www.matrix-precision.com/pages/downloads) HEY EVERYONE, you're going to want to buy the Z axis upgrade from http://www.matrix-precision.com/. This project WILL cut into your build height. (Also consider buying his XY upgrade. It's easier, but whats the fun in that?)
