I tried printing the hinged version, but sadly, my printer wasn't up for the task. Probably the settings, and there was a mesh error with repetier-host V0.90C. Tried the older slicer version, but gave up after the fifth try. Attached files worked for me. Easy to remove the fan, with the slide out. I used 3MM hex head bolts to hold my fan in. You may have to ream the holes out slightly. I had tried a cool fan on the back of the stepper motor, and that kept the stepper nice and cool, but I would still have occasional jams. By mounting the fan this way, stepper gets warm, but not overly hot. After being able to print another complex print, and failing three times(twisted filament), this new fan mounting arrangement solved my problem. possible improvements?: I've contemplated putting a port out the bottom, for print cooling at the same time. The thought is, would I be able to eliminate the need for a seperate fan to help with cooling bridging. I would also consider adding a top screw to hold it more securely. That would require drilling a hole into the laser cut wood. Instructions No bridging. I don't think I even had brim turned on. Worked out great.
