I have some awesome spools of filament from Printrbot and wanted a hub to use with bearings. This thing is that thing. This is an early work. Of the get go I see it could be a little over built in areas and under built in others. Update: The *mk2_fixed.stl file was ran through cloud.netfab.com to fix it since slic3r was previewing it weird. Instructions You may want to edit the STL or Alibre file, I have added support in the bearing area of the hub because I couldn't get the slicer support material to stick well. In most cases you may want a pair, so you will need at least: 2x 608 skateboard bearings. Appropriate lengths of threaded rod or hex bolt Spool carrier Update 12/15/2012: The bearing area is a bit snuggle to undersized, scraping and sanding will be in order. I'm working on an update that fixes this. The axle hole doesn't need to be the same size as the intended axle, it actually needs to be larger then the axle hole in the bearing but smaller then the bearing well. This is also being addressed. Update 12/16/2012: Uploaded mk2 files. These should fix the tweaks in the first pair.
