Printrbot Z axis microswitch poker.
thingiverse
This glue-on mod shifts the z-axis homing adjustment to the printer's front right, addressing potential spool holder reservation concerns. The switch is installed on the regular ZEST part, while version two incorporates splines for secure screw placement without rattling. Despite 3D printing and testing with slic3r at 0.2mm, some issues arose: slic3r added a single fill layer to the hole, and printed back and side walls hollow. The intended M3-tapped hole has sufficient material for larger threads, and PLA was used for printing before supergluing onto ABS parts. Version-2 poses a greater challenge in assembly but may require fine-tuning on other printers. The mod features a large knob with internal splines that lock two 10-tooth splines together; adjustments are made by lifting the knob from the lower spline and rotating, then re-locking when positioned correctly.
