ProjectF204: Formula 1 RC car with realistic suspension

Inspired by Daniel Norée's openrc F1 project I wanted to build a remote controlled Formula 1 car of my own design and fixing the ‘flaws’ of his car.

I wanted my car to have a fully independent suspension utilising pushrods and not just placing the shocks on the wishbones directly and I wanted my model to be closer to real life in styling than the openrc project.

Those two things alone almost cost me my sanity and made me almost quit the entire project 3 times but in the end and with a lot of convincing I finally managed to make both the front and the rear shock absorbers fit in CAD without any meaningful deviations from the real life counterpart.

Due to the very complex nature of this project and the requirement for very specific parts that may or may not be available in your area I have only uploaded the .stp file of the car in it's most recent version. In it's current state you will very likely have to make adaptations if you want to print this model and have an engineering mind to understand some decisions as not every part especially screws is in the CAD model.

At some point I plan on making instructions and finishing the bodywork but that'll have to wait until my FSAE career is over :)
