Promise of Reunion

Once upon a time there was a swan, her partner flew away and promised to be back soon. Before he left, he gave her this magical box, which shows the tree where they shared their memories, a promise that they will reunite soon. However as days of waiting turns into weeks, and weeks into months, the unforgiving winter set in and this year is cold in particular. Her family and friends thinks she has gone crazy, and have already migrated south to warmer areas. As she holds onto the magical box and draws what may be her last breaths, waiting for his return, she sees a rough silouette in the sky.
