This is a prosthetic arm made using FDM 3D printing technology, it is meant to provide solution for people who loose their arm below elbow.

At first, it was very challenging for us to come up with a tangible design that will match and somehow function like a real hand. We chose to become creative, and experiment by using bicycle mechanical parts (tube and brake Bowden cable to control the thumb as the forearm stump is moving). We made three design iterations before we came with the final product.

PRINT INSTRUCTIONS:

All parts except the fingers: Antimicrobial PLA (Copper3D PLACTIVE)

Fingers and thumb: Antimicrobial FLEX (Copper3D MDFlex)

MATERIALS:

Screws

Tension Spring

Bolts and Nuts (we use Prusa spare parts)

Bicycle Brake Bowden cable

Rod (We used the bicycle seat tube), diameter: 29 mm, length according to the beneficiary.
