The prosthetic leg, also known as a prosthesis, is designed to assist individuals with leg amputations in their mobility. Our goal in designing this prosthesis was to create a device that closely mimics the function and appearance of a human leg, with the aim of enabling users to move around without the aid of walkers or crutches. We designed a prosthetic leg with a knee joint for above-knee amputations. Even though it is an above-knee joint design, the knee joint will be removable, allowing individuals with below-knee amputations to use it for their mobility needs. Our primary objective is to create a prosthetic leg that is cost-effective and more efficient. We used PETG material because it is readily available and flexible. Users of this design will be able to notice when it is deformed, which can reduce the risk of falls.
