Protective foot for chair

Protective foot for chair

thingiverse

This is a foot to fit on the leg of a welded metal chair. We had previously used a slip-on plastic/teflon foot but could not find them anywhere, so we decided to make our own! Print Settings Printer Brand: Prusa Printer: Prusa Steel Rafts: No Supports: No Infill: None Notes: We printed ours using Spool3D transparent PLA on a Prusa i3 Mk2. Post-Printing Installation I designed this to snap on and not fall off if the chair is lifted off the floor. As such, it may be difficult to push onto some of the metal bases; some of them may have a slight flare-out on the bottom that will prevent the foot from slipping on. This happened about 20% of the time. We solved this by pushing the chair down into the foot when the chair is upright on the floor. The foot may seat fully once you sit on the chair. The old, worn foot. The protective foot removed. The new protective foot. How I Designed This Designed with Fusion360.
