Inspired by virex Z support, http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:34758, this adaptation is for people like me, that have acrylic "air 2" side panels without slots. Uses standard SKF bearing OD 22mm x 8mm ID x 11mm height 2 types ..1 one with solid gusset web and 1 with "open" for more "air" My printer uses aluminium Z couplings and rather than the X carriage "hanging" on the couplings and stepper motors my intent is to provide support for the couplings ( as noted by other users) and hopefully stabilise the Z axis I have not yet printed these !! but will update with photos once done. all comments welcome
