Prusa Cable Support

Prusa Cable Support

The extruder cable is the thickest and heaviest of the 3 Prusa cables and tends to sag with time. This will cause it to drag on the print bed and may loop over and catch the heater bed cable. there are several fixes: 1. tie a string to the cable and support it from the Prusa stand cross beam 2. do the MK2S upgrade 3. print my cable fix my solution is by far the best, IMHO. This is a final fix, and does not require removing wires or extensive rework. You just print the part, open the Rambo box (1 bolt to unscrew), cut the zip tie holding the cable at the Rambo box, slide in the support - from now on called the 'Dangle Preventer' - replace the zip tie, and place another zip tie around the cable and the Dangle Preventer*. Close up your Rambo box and you are done. The Dangle Preventer will make you equipment look really great. Impresss your your friends when they come over to see what you got! I printed mine with PETG Black but would have prefered daisy yellow. But wait there is more: if you print it now you can print a second one for the same cost and you will get a free subscripion to Thingiverse for 1 year! *WARNING --- the Dangle Preventer is not an FDA approved medical device
