Prusa i2 X-Ends for #10-24 or M5 leadscrews

thingiverse

This is the X-Ends for the Prusa i2 modified to use #10-24 (or M5?) threaded rods as leadscrews. It is otherwise very similar to and based on the design by Jonas Kuehling. This design is ideal for people who are seeking to reduce the Z wobble produced by the thick M8 leadscrews "fighting" the 8mm smooth guide rods by using thinner #10-24 (or M5) threaded rods as leadscrews instead. Another advantage is the liner bearing holders are much more solid than those in the original Prusa i2 design, also reducing Z wobble. There are two versions available; one for LM8UU and one for LM10UU I have tested the X-End Idler with SAE hardware, but the X-End Motor side has not been tested, nor has this design been used with metric hardware, but there isn't much of a reason why it won't, so if you make this thing, please let me know!
