Simplify your build by replacing your X-carriage with a built-in mount for a 90g auto-level servo. This eliminates the add-on servo brackets and provides functional features! Easy GT2 Belt Routing. The belt path is cut to precisely fit the teeth on 2mm-pitch timing belt, and is chamfered to make installation easy. Four Stepper Motor Mounting Tabs. Shallow depth to allow more of the mounting screw threads to securely attach the stepper motor. Built-In Wire Management. Contoured tie-down loops are included on the servo arm and the top of the X-carriage to accommodate cable ties. Servo Arm Direct Attachment. The servo arm has a built-in mount that attaches directly to the servo shaft, eliminating the servo horn. Built-In Screw Holes. Mounting screw holes are included for the SPDT roller switch and the 9g servo. This takes the guesswork out of drilling, and reduces the possibility of breaking the part. Print Settings Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.15mm Infill: 15% hex Notes: The X-Carriage is usually included in kits (FolgerTech, etc.) printed in 0.30mm layers and 10-15% hex infill. You can print it in any resolution or density, but I recommend at least 15-20% infill for rigidity. Post-Printing IMPORTANT! The built-in holes are purposefully small. They need to be drilled out a little to accommodate your hardware. Forcing screws into the holes will probably split the printed part. Also, the servo shaft hole should fit very snug onto the servo, and the screw MUST be used. The terminals on the SPDT roller switch should be cut off and the wires soldered on the nubs. This provides clearance for the terminals to avoid touching the side of the stepper motor when the arm is retracted.
