### Update 19/11/2018: I have tested this upgrade and must say am very happy with the result. I modified the duct slightly to allow it to blow more directly on the printed surface. There is room for additional duct designs but right now its giving me beautiful prints with PLA. 18/11/2018: At this time I have not yet completely tested this design. I am waiting for some parts however have printed these and mounted on the printer and they seem functional. Let me know if you test it out. ### Description I never liked the cooling fan which came with my 3dprintingstore.co.za acrylic Prusa i3. It obstructs your view monitoring the nozzle and print progress. I also found it tramming into prints infrequently which caused failed prints for me and I do not think it is particularly effective with cooling prints either. Therefore I designed this fan duct and mount to allow adding a 50mm blower fan to the x-carriage. I am hoping it will address the issues I have with the original cooling fan/duct. It is designed so you can simply remove the acrylic part and drop this replacement in. The duct then mounts directly to the support using a M3 screw and nut. Remember to transfer the x end stop screw, so that you do not have the carriage tramming into the side when you use your printer again. ### Printing I printed this with support touching the build plate only, bridging works fine for the rest of the print. ### You might also be interested in my other upgrades for this printer. * Minimalist Direct Drive Extruder - https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3224826 * Carriage Cable Management Arm - https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3224881 * Prusa i3 Bltouch Upgrade - https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3225007
