Prusa I3 frame support/brace

Prusa I3 frame support/brace

thingiverse

There are a couple of frame support postings already on Thingiverse and I modelled this on the work of eychu. His posting uses 10mm screw rods and doesn't include SCAD files so I had to start from scratch to make some compatible with a standard i3 frame. The rear 8mm threaded rods on the I3 should be replaced with 370mm versions and two additional 370mm 8mm threaded rods are needed for the diagonals. In addition 16 off 8mm nuts and washers are required. The angle of the rods are 20 degrees to match the 100mm distance between the frame and the rear y-corners as specified in the Prusa instructions The frame in the pictures is CNC cut from 6mm Di-bond - a really good material to work with and with the support is completely rigid.
