This project is not meant to be printed. Instead, it serves as a more-or-less standard model of the acrylic Prusa i3 MK1 as cloned by vendors like RepRapGuru.

It is the single-plate design, with laser-cut Z motor mounts and top corners, printed Y corners, and rear Z braces.

Technically, think this is considered an offshoot of the "rework" variant, though this 3d model has been further modified to match my machine (for example, it has proper TR8 lead screws instead of M5 allthread on the Z axis, the Y gantry is extra long, at about 405 mm, and it has a custom bed carriage).

See also, https://www.prusaprinters.org/prints/7468-xyz-upgrade-kit-for-acrylic-prusa-i3-clones-based- for most of the aforementioned upgrades.

It is linked-to by some of my other projects, in situations where I need an i3 as a reference, so if you load a project of mine and it complains about missing Prusa i3 parts/materials, you need to download this .blend and talk Blender into picking it up.

This .blend further depends on my standard library file, which is here: https://www.prusaprinters.org/prints/16640-my-blender-3d-printing-partsmaterials-library

If you intend to build a project on top of this printer model, you can just link the standard library directly into your project, and Blender will fill in the pieces of the printer model, too.

Changelog

2020-04-24: Reworked the frame of the printer to keep the original curves from the DXF (converted to Bezier format) instead of meshes. Re-linked the standard library to account for recent changes.

2020-01-10: Re-linked standard library to account for recent changes.

Credits

The Plexiglas parts came from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:39889 (extruded to 6mm thick in Blender).

The printed Y corners are from https://github.com/josefprusa/Prusa3-vanilla/tree/master/distribution

The X ends, X tensioner, and Y tensioner are remixes from other sources, as included in my i3 XYZ upgrade kit: https://www.prusaprinters.org/prints/7468-xyz-upgrade-kit-for-acrylic-prusa-i3-clones-based-

See the standard library link for credits specific to items provided by it.
