23/04/2017 UPDATE

This is the integrated version only now, the enclosure version is here: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2265113

Followed MK CUB3D (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2188337) design deeper, used most of his parts but the Z-TOPS, I uploaded new STL versions of this parts and SketchUp files.

Will not be using the MK2-X parts by now.

Still, need to work on electronics relocation and how to complete close the bottom.

UPDATE 4/19/2017

Added 2 versions, one enclosure only, and the second step started the haribo modification.

If you have sketchup pro, you can click on the door to open and on the bed for Y movement, it moves the full range to test positions (will add x and Z movement in the future, just for fun)

moved the power source to the right on the enclosure version

still not sure about hight I think I will make it taller so the enclosure will end at 500500600

ORIGINAL

I'm designing a 3030 based enclosure for the Original Prusa MK2, but want to transform it to a "Prusa i3 MK2-X" remix http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1692666 . So testing that everything fits inside.

My main focus now is the enclosure and electronics relocation. First building step will be fitting the Original Prusa MK2 without frame changes.

The enclosure has a transparent lid.

I Included a SketchUp file. The lid is an interactive component, you can "click" it to open or close.
Category: 3D Printer Accessories
