Prusa i3 Mk2 Fan Shroud for Silicone Sock MODDED
thingiverse
I have been utilizing this fan shroud for quite some time now but noticed that printing on the right sides of corners yielded poor results, leading me to conclude that the cooling system wasn't functioning as efficiently as it should be. Redesigning the shroud became essential due to one of the tunnels not being utilized at all. To improve air flow, I modified the tunnels slightly compared to the previous version in order to make it more efficient and direct. Additionally, guides were added near the exhaust area to focus airflow better. In an effort to address the centrifugal force of the fan causing only one side of the shroud to blow air, a second model with a different intake was created. This new design aims to solve the problem but I am keeping the previous version available if needed.
